Kuwait: Five-year plan calls for privatizing public schools, hospitals

KUWAIT: The five-year development plan number 2009/2010 - 2013/2014 will be aimed at raising the living standards of Kuwaiti citizens in all fields. Also, the population rate of Kuwaiti citizens is expected to rise from 31% in 2008 to 34% at the end of the plan period. Its population is expected to touch 3.6 million.

Kuwait: Swine flu detection kits

KUWAIT: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has reportedly imported 100 Swine Flu detection kits at a total cost of KD 190,000. Each kit can be used to conduct tests for the H1N1 Swine Flu virus on 10,000 individuals, a MoH official explained.
