After laboratory tests confirmed the AH1N1 virus in the blood samples of a US based Non-Resident Nepali couple and their son, the government on Monday stated that swine flu has been diagnosed in the country.

Authorities are stepping up surveillance to prevent swine flu from making inroads into the country, even as an official said on Sunday there was no swine flu case in Nepal.
