Qatar Daycare Centre, the first multi-speciality daycare clinic in Doha, was opened yesterday. Jassim Ibrahim Fakhroo, Director of Communication and Media Department at the Supreme Council of Health inaugurated the facility located at Al Nasr in Doha in the presence of a host of dignitataries.
DOHA: The Supreme Council of Health has warned the public against taking the antiviral medicines Tamilflu (Oseltamivir) and Relenza (Zanamivir) for the treatment of, or protection against, swine flu (H1N1) without a prescription from a health care practitioner.
DOHA: Hospitals in the country may soon be introducing the enhanced external counter pulsation (EECP) therapy, a procedure performed on individuals with ischemic cardiomyopathy to diminish the symptoms of their ischemia. This is the first time it has been introduced in the country.
