RN-Medical/Surgical ICU
The Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSIU) at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, currently has 15 beds, but in May 2009, the unit will open an additional 12 beds, for a total of 26 beds.
o All ICU candidates must be able to manage ventilated patients
o Ratios are generally 1:1 with vented patients
Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, and
- Current nursing license in Canada or the United States, and
- A minimum of two years experience as a Registered Nurse working in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in North America
