The Rashid Hospital is a 600-bed tertiary-care hospital. The Rashid Trauma Centre is part of the Rashid Hospital. It houses facilities for emergency medicine, surgery, and ICU and treats adults and children suffering multiple traumas. The Trauma Centre has approximately 135,000 ER patient visits per year, with an admission rate of approximately 10%.
The Surgical Trauma Ward has two units with a total of over 45 beds (including eight pediatric beds). Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Charge Nurse, Surgical Trauma Ward, coordinates overall clinical activities on a specific shift. Is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care. Participates in the development of standards, procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, and
* A minimum of three to five years current experience as a Registered Nurse working in a surgical trauma unit in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in North America.
* Experience as Charge Nurse is required.
