The Job
You will be responsible for evaluating and providing treatment for people with physical, psychological and/or behavioural deficits to maximise their functional abilities. You will use purposeful activities and a variety of treatment methods to obtain a desired level of functioning in work, self-care, play and leisure. You will also be involved in health promotion activities such as providing occupational health and ergonomic consultation for companies and individuals.
There will be ample opportunities to develop clinical skills and specialisation in Burns Rehabilitation, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Hand and Upper Limb Rehabilitation, Home Therapy, Mental Health and Eating Disorder programme, Neurological Rehabilitation, Occupational Health and Ergonomics, Oncology and Lymphoedema Rehabilitation and Orthopedics Rehabilitation. Potential candidates will be groomed to advance into Leadership, Teaching or Research positions.
Requirements
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy accredited by World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT)
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic and creative in your approach to deliver occupational therapy to patients in an acute hospital setting
* Relevant work experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred or may be considered for senior positions
