DIETITIAN
Responsibilities:
· Identify nutritional problems, assess the nutritional status of the patients, develop nutrition care plans and monitor the effectiveness of dietary changes and outcomes
· Work in close liaison with the physicians, nurses and pharmacists to provide medical nutritional services required for the care, treatment and recovery of patients in the wards, intensive care and outpatients.
· Provide diet counseling and nutrition education on current evidence based nutrition practice.
· Provide community and corporate nutrition education.
· Required to work in compliance with ISO, MSQH, HACCP, HALAL and JCI standards within the departments.
Requirements:
· Minimum degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from local or overseas university.
· At least 2 – 3 years experience in hospital setting.
· Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and nutrition care process.
· Ability to communicate effectively in BM and English both written and verbal to patients, clients and staff. Knowledge of other languages would be advantageous.
· Ability to function independently on assigned patient care units
· General knowledge of word processing applications.
· Good knowledge on food service and therapeutic diets.
