Nursing Lecturer
(Negeri Sembilan – Putra Nilai)
Responsibilities:
* Prepares and delivers lectures to nursing students within a prescribed curriculum.
* Conducts classes using different and appropriate methodologies of teaching and learning. (Stimulating and guiding discussion)
* Acts as tutor to monitor progress of students using formative (continuous) and summative evaluation.
* Participates in preparing examination papers invigilating examinations and marking of students’ written exercise, papers and practical work where necessary.
* Able to construct MCQS & MEQs that stimulates the use of nursing process and critical thinking.
* Able to incorporate Evidence Based Learning.
* Lead students towards self-directed and web based learning
* Continuous updating of resource file to keep students at current knowledge level.
* Submits prompt feedback.
* Able to mould students towards the beginning levels of social responsibility.
* Stimulate interest in students to be research conscious.
* Offers counseling and assistance to students and parents with the aim to promote quality education, either in the College or off campus.
* Perform other academic related duties to ensure that the academic programmes and courses of the College are properly and efficiently carried out.
* Perform assigned non-academic functions including counseling, promotional activities and extra-curricular activities in and outside the campus.
* Coordinates with Head of Department to review and improve the curriculum regularly.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing/Midwifery/Public Health Nursing or equivalent.
* At least 3 year(s) of clinical working experience. Those who possess a certificate in teaching or have done a module in teaching from a recognized university/institution would have an advantage.
* MUST have registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board and posses current annual practice certificate.
* Possess a passion for teaching and research.
* Candidates must be fluent in English as lectures will be delivered in English
* Candidates must be willing to work in Putra Nilai.
* Candidates must be willing to go for Clinical Posting outside campus.
* Candidates with experience in facilitating simulation sessions are encouraged to apply.
